My name is James Goodson! I am from Dallas, Texas, and I am a graduate of the BFA program with a major in Scenic Technology at UNCSA. I have trained as a carpenter, welder, fabricator, rigger, and CAD drafter.

During my time at UNCSA, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of shows and tackling a multitude of responsibilities, from serving as a staff carpenter to working as a draftsperson, to leading a crew in building a show and running the deck during the performance.

I have also had the experience of working as a stagehand for several IATSE locals during my time and have been a part of a great many concert installs and strikes for Broadway shows and musicians.
